Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
U.S. Tori fans have been busy this week, trying to tease out information on possible tour dates for the fall. Here’s what they’ve found:
Jon actually called every venue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was told by a Benedum Center employee that Tori will play there Oct. 30 at 8 p.m. Ticket prices were quoted at $34.50 and $40.50.
Ernie Diaz heard from Live Nation that Tori’s playing the Murat Theatre in Indianapolis, Indiana on Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. So far, this hasn’t been posted to the Live Nation site.
Habidabad has a source inside the Palace Theater in Louisville, Kentucky who claims Tori will play there on or near Oct. 26.
We’ve said this before, and we’ll keep saying it until a full tour itinerary is confirmed: these dates are by no means confirmed or finalized, but we’re reporting them anyway because there’s a chance many of them will turn out to be legit. And knowing is half the battle.
While in Israel, Tori gave a press conference for Israeli media. A video with some choice quotes has been posted to YouTube, and Joe and Ido sent us the link. Check it out:
Nils van der Linden reviewed American Doll Posse for entertainment.iafrica.com, giving it 3½ stars out of 5. The review was posted on July 19th.
In anticipation of tonight’s concert at Ra’anana in Israel this evening, the Jerusalem Post published an article in their July 20th edition recapping Tori’s career for the non-fan. While it contains nothing new, it is a nice overview for the uninitiated.
Alicia points out that the Y-Rock Concert Calendar includes the October 15th concert at the Tower Theatre in Upper Darby (just west of Philadelphia) with an on-sale date of Friday, July 27th. I looked there yesterday and was pretty sure it said at the time that the on-sale date was Saturday, July 20th (as we reported earlier) so either my reading comprehension is worse than my memory or Y-Rock changed their calendar. Or both. Either way, thanks Alicia for catching that!
Remember the Big Wheel Video Contest? Well, ToriAmos.com has announced its winner. Congratulations to Wes Sutton whose video was judged the best from the 75 entries all the participants submitted! We hope you enjoy the concert that you’ve won tickets to!
Here’s the video:
There is a new video interview clip posted at lexpress.ch which was done during Tori’s recent visit to the Montreux Jazz Festival. In the clip, she reflects on the Festival as being the starting point of her career, the power of seduction, and her future as a touring artist. While she doesn’t say she’ll never tour again, she does say that she’s not planning another big world tour.
Thanks to Jennytalula and Robert Schrader for the link. We’ll try to get a transcript posted soon but if anyone can beat us to the punch, that would be appreciated.
Ido tells us that the NRG web site has published an announcement from Tori’s concert management saying that Tori has decided to cancel the Rayden warm-up on the Israeli show and will start the concert half an hour earlier in order to “give the Israeli audience a whole night of Tori experience.”
So the Ra’anana show will start at 21:00 instead of 21:30.
Update: Yishai points out that, according to what’s in the NRG article as well as other Israeli press, the concert will actually start promptly at 8:30 PM.
Tori’s interview on Radcliffe & Maconie on BBC Radio 2 ended a few minutes ago. Here’s a short recap:
Tori talked about how touring has been going, performed “Beauty Of Speed,” explanation and discussion of ADP concept, Tori’s Native American medicine bag (which she apparently had with her), her favorite (US) road trips then U2’s “In God’s Country” was played (since Tori mentioned Joshua Tree being one of her favorite road trip stops), then onto the joys of getting older and becoming a “classic car,” the dangers of getting trapped in one’s own [media] image, how much Husband loves Santa, and the show was closed with a performance of “Cooling.” A fun interview.
Did you miss it? It should show up in the Listen Again section of the Radcliffe & Maconie website next week. The entire show is available now via the BBC’s Listen Again. The appearance starts 1 hour and 11 minutes into the program. (Thanks Sarah!)
Frank was nice enough to record the broadcast off-air and has provided links to a mp3 of the interview which you can pick up via yousendit or sendspace. Thanks Frank!
If anyone can provide a transcription, we’ll include it here.
Tori was interviewed by Dream TV in Turkey before her performance at Masstival on Sunday. Tori discusses playing in Turkey and … electrocuting her finger! And, as the interview spans 10 minutes, quite a few other things. Thankfully, Dream TV subtitled rather than overdubbed.
Of course, the clip is on the YouTube:
Thanks to Valyum for the linkage! And if anyone happens to feel like transcribing the conversation, that would be nifty-neat-o-keen.
