Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
EverythingTori has announced that two more shows have been added to the Australian leg of the American Doll Posse tour: a third show at the Sydney Opera House on September 25th and a second show at the Perth Concert Hall on September 28th. Tickets for both shows go on sale to the general public at 9:00 AM local time on Monday, July 2nd, with Internet pre-sales starting at Noon local time on Friday, June 29th lasting through Sunday at 5:00 PM. Sydney tickets will be sold via Ticketmaster and the Opera House box office while Perth tickets are handled by BOCS Ticketing.
Thanks to Robert for the heads up.
ABC2 in Australia will be rebroadcasting Tori Amos: Live At Madison Square Garden on Sunday, July 1st at 11:00 AM local time. Judging by the program schedule, this looks to be the hour-long Lifetime broadcast of The Concert For RAINN. (It was also aired yesterday, Tuesday, June 26th on ABC, for those of you with time machines.) Thanks to Nath for the tip!
By now the Budapest show is over. A few details about the show have bubbled up from text messages Jill received from a friend at the show: Santa opened the show and Leather, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Marianne and Little Earthquakes were performed. We do not have a full setlist yet (and it being a Sunday, there may not be one posted at EverythingTori until tomorrow), so if anyone can provide one, that would be appreciated. Setlist up on the Budapest page.
And remember, you can get to the review pages anytime by heading to the Tour section (“Tour” link in the black bar at the top of every page) and clicking flashback for the show you want to view.
This concert preview, from Népszabadság Online, the website for one of Hungary’s biggest newspapers, mentions that today’s show in Budapest is being filmed for a television broadcast. If anyone can provide more details, presumably once they become available, please let us know. Thanks to Maddict for pointing this out.
While Amazon stubbornly continues to insist that the American Doll Posse songbook will not be published until October (with the exception of Amazon.fr which gives it a July 9th availability date, as Tristan pointed out), the Tori Store has added it to their offerings. Their price is the full $29.95 list price, however, so if you are looking for a bargain, try one of the online retailers or a local bookstore.
Additionally, Brian Nash, who sent in the photos of the songbook, reports that the transcriptions in the book are pretty good saying that many of the patterns are correct and that, “they’ve stopped doing that vocal doubling in the right hand.” I don’t know what that means but that sounds like a good thing to me!
Update: EncoreMusic.com has posted a scan of the first page of “Yo George” from songbook on their site.
Last month we reported that a lengthy series of interviews with Tori had been posted on VH1’s VSPOT. Now, thanks to Phil, we know that some kind person dumped the whole thing onto YouTube. Here it is, in four parts:
Schuyler Fisk is currently touring with Josh Radin, who is opening for Tori on the European leg of her ADP tour. In a recent blog entry, Schuyler offers a peek into Tori’s touring environment.
Natasha Lee just spotted this weird, skeptical review of American Doll Posse from Beatroute, a free magazine published in Alberta, Canada.
CD Reviews writer Stephen Foster recently wrote this eloquent, in-depth review of Feist’s new album, The Reminder. Wait, what’s that got to do with Tori? Well, in the process, he also reviews American Doll Posse and compares the two women with respect to the place each is in her career. Nicely done; grab a cuppa and check it out.
Norna transcribed the YLE interview (broadcast in Finland by YLE and streaming on the web for Finnish viewers) and posted it to @forumz. Thanks for doing so!
