Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
Contests, contests everywhere!
mayfly and Amy told us that OhNoTheyDidn’t is giving away:
To enter, tell them all about what celebrity should join Tori’s posse. Photoshop is encouraged and creativity is a must. Mail your entries here. (Limited to U.S. residents only.)
Over at Popbytes, MK is giving away:
Enter here by May 22nd. (Limited to U.S. residents only.)
At iSOUND.COM, Alex is giving away:
Enter here by May 13th. (Registration required, but it’s free.)
Sprk has finished transcribing his recent interview with Tori. While edited versions will appear in Gay&Night Magazine and on GAY.NL, he’s put the full un-cut mega rodeo round-up version on his personal blog for all of us. Yay! (Nice job, dude!)
American Doll Posse will be BBC 6 Music’s Album Of The Day on May 1st. They’ll be playing tracks from the album through the day, post a detailed review on their site and, as lucy points out, might do some other small features on Tori during the day as well.
EverythingTori has posted about a number of upcoming appearances Tori will be making to promote the release of American Doll Posse. They confirm KROQ’s Kevin and Bean on April 26th, Letterman on May 3rd and Regis and Kelly on May 4th. They also have a date for the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson appearance which we did not previously know: May 17th. (Note, however, that this appearance will be taped on April 26th, per OCA, where you can request tickets for the taping.)
Jason told us about a rather unusual item for sale on eBay:
Yep, it’s lock of Tori’s hair (from 1994). You can either bid or “Buy It Now” for a mere £99.99 and you get a Certificate Of Authenticity and everything. Woot!
Perhaps this explains the need for all those wigs right about now.
Damien, Matt, Scott and CrystallineColey wrote in to tell us that Tori’s MySpace page now lets you listen to every ADP track (well, except “Miracle”). Swing on over and let your ears have a little pre-release party.
First of all, check out this totally adorable cover of “Ode to My Clothes” performed by the fab Greg B. and his PS22 choir:
Second, a handful of Tori fans worked together to produce this compilation of stills and videos, coupled with a song composed of many, many Tori samples. We don’t necessarily endorse their campaign here, but we thought the video itself was pretty nifty:
And third, in the When Worlds Collide department, a Tori-cum-WoW fan put several in-game characters on the proverbial dance floor to get down to “Body and Soul”:
Many thanks to Ben, Speedbliss, Jill, CrystallineColey and Pippin for putting these links under our noses.
A couple other American Doll Posse-related contests have surfaced. SPIN is giving away an autographed copy of the special edition of the album and a portable DVD Walkman, while YM is giving away American Doll Posse, the rest of Tori’s Epic releases and the portable DVD player.
Keep an eye on Sony’s contest page to see if any additional opportunities to win Tori swag pop up.
Collecters’ Choice has announced that they will be reissuing the majority of Al Stewart’s catalog in June. “What does this have to do with Tori?”, you might ask? Well, one of the albums included in this campaign is Last Days of the Century which features Tori on backing vocals. Additionally, two of the re-issue’s bonus tracks are demos of “Ten Cents” and “Dreaming”, two songs that Al and Tori co-wrote. The re-issue is available for pre-order now from Collectors’ Choice. And, at the risk of turning this into YouToriTube, check out this video of Tori performing “The Year of the Cat” with Al in 1991:
According to Late Night Lineups, Tori will be one of the guests on Live with Regis and Kelly on Friday, May 4th. That’s a little too far in the future for the show’s website to confirm yet, the late night line-ups site has been a reliable source of talk show guests for a long time so there is no reason to doubt. Thanks to Cliff for that tip!
And thanks to Lauren who indicates that Los Angeles radio station STAR 98.7 will be giving away passes to see Tori in the Star Lounge. Register to win passes to this event here.
