Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.

Canberra Times Article (August 9, 2007)
I don’t need you to tell me I’m hot, whether you think so or not – it really doesn’t matter to me. I have to claim that, whoever I am as a woman. As a mother, to be able to look in the mirror and claim that, is the most powerful thing.
The following article was the cover story of the August 9, 2007 edition of Fly, the entertainment insert in the Canberra Times. Unfortunately, the interview was never made available on their website, but orfeo was kind enough to transcribe it for everyone. Cheers!
Kathimerini Interview (July 8, 2007)
A while back, our Greek correspondent Christos sent in a link to this article which appeared in the July 8th edition of the Greek newspaper Kathimerini. Just the other week, Christos followed up with a translation of the article into English, for which we are very grateful! While he warns that, “it’s a bit loose translation in some points where I thought it would be closer to what Tori said/meant,” we think it more than gets the point across. Thanks again, Christos!
BMA Interview (September 2007)
It’s about ideology. People need to begin to realise that there’s much more that you can access than what the patriarchy has set forth. For women it’s been very basic; very black and white – and as a piano player I understand black and white – but I think black and white needs to stay on the piano.
So says Tori in an interview in the free Canberra music magazine BMA that Alice also tipped us off to. The interview appears in the September 7th edition, issue #285. If you don’t roam the streets of Canberra, you can download the entire magazine as a PDF from their website or just read on for the lovely transcription Alice sent us.
MX Sydney Mini-Article
Tori was on the cover of copies of the Sydney edition of MX which were being handed out to folks outside the Opera House on April 14th. Alice (thanks to her) received a copy and transcribed the very short article contained therein. We haven’t been able to find this article on-line and, in fact, there isn’t any content on MX’s website, so this is what we have for now. If anyone has a scan, it would be welcomed! Thanks to Kylie for the scan of the photograph of Tori on the cover of MX (there is no graphic with the article itself, we are told.)
Rip It Up Interview (September 13, 2007)
My goal is to learn how to say ‘cocksucker’ in every language that exists. I’d like to know it in every Middle Eastern language – I’d like to be able to say ‘cocksucker’ in Farsi. Everybody needs to know that and I’ll tell you why. If you happen to be in that moment where you need that word and you don’t know how to say it, you’re going to start throwing your shoes at people.
So says Tori in this new interview which is the cover article in the latest issue of the Adelaide street magazine, Rip It Up where she, again, broaches the possibility of her not touring on such a grand scale again in the future. (We don’t know how to say “cocksucker” in Farsi either but the Intertube has the goods for a whole host of other, uh, tongues.)

Pieces of Her: Tori's Tidbits
Tori was featured in the appropriately-named Pieces of Me section of September 3rd’s edition of The Guardian. The two-page spread in the G2 supplement displays several objects that Tori can’t do without — including her comments about them.
Laura let us know about the piece and William kindly sent us a PDF file of the spread which I’ve clumsily converted to the image files below (yes, there’s a watermark from the conversion tool, but it’s fairly faint so make me feel better and pretend it’s not there):

Tori/ADP Article in Sydney Star Observer (Sept. 6, 2007)
“There are so many people who are against anything that is not a male, heterosexual power. Until those of us who choose to pull our heads out of the sand understand that this force means business, then in 20, 30 or 40 years from now we will look back at this time and say, ‘My God, where were we?’ This is life and death, the lives that you and I and our friends have, the freedom that we have to live our lives without somebody telling us what should go on in our bedrooms or what our morals should be.”

The Celebrity Baby Blog Takes Note...
The recent Pop Matters interview was clipped by the Celebrity Baby Blog. They, apparently, were amused by Tori’s response about Tash potentially asking Tori about her more, uh, adult-oriented lyrics:
Oh, we’re already at that day. Tash is 6 and wants to be a film director this week. She’s hiding behind doors and filming people. And not a whole lot misses her. She’s just at this place where she’ll say [using another accent, British this time, like her daughter’s] “Mummy—Mind the vocabulary Mummy. You’re going to be seeing some of the other mothers from school. You have to keep ‘Tori Amos’ in line.” And I say, “Yes, I know, right…”
