Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
The Metropole Orkest has posted a schedule of their upcoming radio and television appearances and right at the top of the list is their concert with Tori from back in October!
According to them, the concert will be broadcast on Monday, December 20th at 11:00 PM on Radio 6 — which would place it right during the Radio 6 Live program. So, even though the broadcast does not appear to be mentioned anywhere on the website, that seems to fit together nicely…
You can listen to Radio 6 online or, if you’re in the Netherlands, there are a variety of other listening options available as well.
Check here to see what time 11:00 PM in the Netherlands is in your local time zone.
Thanks to Shireen86 for catching this!
Just peeping a quick heads-up that our favorite pro-wrestling Toriphile, Mick Foley, will be on Carson Daly tonight (technically in the wee hours of Saturday morning), and the segment is largely focussed on Tori. Yay!
A couple weeks ago—on October 19th to be precise—Tori stopped by the Brooks Atkinson Theatre in New York to take in a performance of the musical Rock of Ages and to visit with the cast and crew. Theater website Broadway.com reported on her visit and also posted a photo gallery of Tori posing with the various cast members, from which we’ve lifted that there photo to the right where she’s flashing the horns with Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider.
Thanks to @talkingtori for alerting us to this over on Twitter!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
This past weekend, A&E rebroadcast the episode of Private Sessions featuring Daughtry which included a segment in which the band reacts to a question Tori puts to them about the favorite places and haunts they have found while out on the road. In response, the band spends a fair amount of time discussing Tori’s influence on them and, eventually, gets around to addressing the query she put forth.
You can catch the snippet in this YouTube clip; Tori’s question starts around the 4 minute mark.
The episode originally aired on July 19, 2009 — while Daughtry was touring around the same time that Tori was out on the Sinful Attraction Tour.
Tori was interviewed for RT’s Prime Time Russia program and they’ve kindly posted the chat on YouTube. Topics covered included her early voice, Tash and music, the role of women in the current world, and Tori also says that she thinks the piano will take center stage in the next project that she’ll be working on.
Update #3: Silver Rain’s streams are back up and running!
Update #2: Nope, looks like there is a problem with the Silver Rain streams, as @therealtoriamos just tweeted. Alternatively, the Moskva.fm stream is up and working.
Update: It seems the station’s streams have been taken offline, presumably for the duration of the concert. We’re assuming it’s still being broadcast over the air on though. Sorry for this unexpected twist as we know many, including us, were looking forward to listening to the show from afar…. Also, we won’t be able to live update the show (assuming we can locate someone who is txting or tweeting the setlist) but will have the setlist and reviews posted on the site later today.
The latest tweet from Russian radio station Silver Rain included a dim photograph of Tori in their studios yesterday and the text, when Babelfished, goes a little something like this:
Tori Of amos in the ether studio SD. But tomorrow listen to the exclusive straight translation of its concert from crocus of City in the 20:00
So, it looks like the concert broadcast today is a go!
The handy, dandy website timeanddate.com will tell you when 8:00 PM Moscow time is in your neck of the woods. In some popular time zones, the broadcast will air at 1:00 AM in Tokyo, 6:00 PM in Central Europe, 5:00 PM in the UK, Noon in the Eastern time zone of North America and 9:00 AM out in the west.
Stream the station at http://silver.ru/radio.
Additionally, Olga points out that the station’s broadcasts are archived at Moskva FM. So, you can listen to yesterday’s interview at any time by going to Silver Rain’s September 2nd page, moving the slider to 14:00 and hitting the play button. Nifty!
Just a quick reminder that Tori will be appearing on Russian radio station Silver Rain today at 2:00 PM Moscow time (just a little bit after I’m writing this). They now have this prominently shown on their home page so it’s a go! If you’re not within their broadcast range, you can listen online to their stream.
Artur Pivovarov let us know that the radio station Silver Rain has announced on-air that they will be broadcasting the convert live! So far, while there doesn’t appear to be anything about this on their website at this time, we’ve heard the announcements so it looks like it’s going to happening. It’s not clear whether or not the complete performance will be aired but whatever is will be on between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM Moscow time.
Additionally, Tori will also be making an interview appearance on Silver Rain the day before the concert, Thursday, September 2nd at 2:00 PM Moscow time.
For those in Russia, you can tune in Silver Rain at 100,1 FM in Moscow and a number of other frequencies in other cities.
Outside of Russia? Don’t fret! They have a live stream at both low and high bitrates. The top two links there are for their embedded player while the bottom two will launch your external mp3/media player.
On a related note, Tori’s first live performance in Russia has caused a few ripples in the Russian press, such as this preview in Russia Prime Time pointed out by Stoff. While none of the pieces are terribly revealing, it’s good to see some promo for the concert. And it’s not just limited to the press as this little television commercial for the concert show:
Thanks to our friends at toribr for bringing it to our attention!
While Tori was in Finland recently, she sat down and chatted with the Finnish radio station Ylex about performing in Finland, her work and other current projects. During the interview, she indicated that The Light Princess musical is currently expected to be shown in 2012 (and, as a result, that she probably will not tour again until after that), talked at length about the upcoming performance with The Metropole Orchestra in Amsterdam and mentioned a secret project that she has been approached about. While she didn’t provide many details about this project, she did say that it didn’t fit into the standard pop mold and that was one of the reasons why she found it an intriguing possibility.
You can listen to the interview on YleX’s website.
Thanks to the fine folks at toribr for alerting us to it!
Update: YleX also reported on Tori’s performance at the Festival and, even if you don’t understand Finnish, the photo gallery there is worth the visit!
Update: Thanks to SweetOnes from the yessaid forum, here is a transcription of the interview. Jump the fold to check it out!
Just a quick reminder that the episode of Live from the Artists Den featuring Tori is slated to air on PBS stations across the United States during this week. In most markets, the program airs towards the end of the week (Thursday in Philadelphia, Friday in New York City, Sunday in Los Angeles), but check your local PBS station’s listing to make sure.
If you can’t wait that long, a commercial DVD of this performance, which includes two songs not shown during the broadcast, is released today through Barnes & Noble.
