    Spinner Interview

    Tuesday, January 05, 2010 | 03:23 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web,Video

During the frenzy of Midwinter Graces promo in December, Tori also swung by the offices of Spinner and chatted with Jessica Robertson about Midwinter Graces. The resulting two-part video interview was posted on Spinner on Christmas Even afternoon. In addition to the seasonal collection, Tori also addresses the rebirth of Lilith Fair (which Spinner reported on earlier last month), family and holiday memories and traditions.

Thanks to Armen for the tip! Jump the cut to check out the clips!

    Tuesday, January 05, 2010 | 03:13 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web,Video

Literally minutes after we signed off for Christmas and New Year’s, Parker linked us to this interview from TV Guide where, between live clips of “Lady in Blue,” they chat with Tori about Midwinter Graces. Thanks to her for the tip!

TV Guide kindly placed the video on YouTube as well for easy-peasy embedification:

    We Report, You Decide

    Thursday, December 24, 2009 | 17:39 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

Remember that Metro interview we posted a couple days ago? Well, apparenrtly we didn’t focus on the most sensational part of the article as her seemingly throw-away comment about running on the Republican tickets if Sarah Palin does is what garnered the most attention.

Contact Music and One India both took the story and ran with it and it even popped up in last night’s episode of Countdown on MSNBC!

    Go figure!

Thanks to jovenave and Richard Handal for the links.

“Holly, Ivy and Rose,” from Midwinter Graces was used as the backing music during an episode of the soap opera One Life To Live on Wednesday, December 23rd. It was used as the soundtrack for a montage segment of the show’s characters returning home for Christmas, opening presents and celebrating the holiday. The full episode is streaming on abc.com.

    The M.O.D.O.K. Holiday Special

    Thursday, December 24, 2009 | 17:06 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

Apparently while Tori was hanging out at Marvel Comics earlier this month, even stranger things were plotted than taping an interview with Agent M…

    Holiday Media Wrap-up

    Thursday, December 24, 2009 | 16:52 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

Just a quick reminder that the Coffee House Live session that Tori recorded for Sirius XM Radio will be broadcast at Noon Eastern today and repeated again several times over the coming weekend.

Also, Tori will be a guest on tonight’s Dysfunctional Family Christmas on WRNR. That starts at 6:00 PM Eastern and will be reboadcast Christmas morning at 6:00 AM Eastern.

Additionally, don’t forget that the episode of eTown that was recorded earlier this month at the Grand Ballroom is being broadcast this week. Check their website for a list of radio stations that carry the program world-wide or just swing by their website to stream or download the podcast of the program.

    Last.fm Discovers Tori

    Tuesday, December 22, 2009 | 19:55 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web,Video

Tori is Artist of the Week at last.fm/discover.

She is featured on their radio station throughout the week, including selections from a session she did for last.fm/discover which are also available on YouTube.

Thanks to Rabih for the tip!

Update And now it seems the session videos have been removed from YouTube. When and if they come back, we’ll replce ‘em here.

    'Twas The Night Before Christmas...

    Saturday, December 19, 2009 | 21:09 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

    …and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

The radios were tuned to the stations with care,
In hopes that Tori Amos soon would be there.

You’ll excuse the poor poetic parody as there are two upcoming radio appearances slated for Christmas Eve.

First, at Noon Eastern, a live session recorded for Sirius XM’s The Coffee House (Sirius channel 30 and XM channel 51) will be aired. The session will be repeated later at Midnight and several more times before the end of the Christmas weekend: 3:00 PM on Christmas, 7:00 PM on the 26th and 11:00 AM on the 27th (all times Eastern). Sirius XM satellite radio is not freely available but you can also sign up for a free online streaming trial if you are not a subscriber and want to check the session out.

Later on that evening, Tori will be a guest during WRNR’s Dysfunctional Family Christmas — six hours of Christmas music and mayhem starting at 6:00 PM Eastern. One assumes that Tori’s guest appearance is pre-recorded and that she’ll only be on part of the program but we’ll have to tune in to see. The entire event will be rebroadcast on Christmas morning from 6:00 AM to Noon Eastern.

To whet the appetite for The Coffee House Live, Sirius has posted a video of Tori performing “Winter” from the upcoming session. Enjoy!

Thanks to Dawn and Josh for the tips!

On Monday, December 14th, Tori called into the KBCO Morning Show to chat with host Bret Saunders about Midwinter Graces and, as often happens, whatever else comes up in conversation. Fortunately for those who missed it, KBCO kindly offers a mp3 download of the phone-in.

Thanks to Josh for the tip!
