Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
ITN Music has posted a short interview with Tori where she talks about the new record and the single, “Welcome To England.” The clip is also on the YouTube (from where we embed it here):
Thanks to velvet for catching this!
Not to be out-done by BBC Television, BBC Radio will be having Tori in a couple times next week as well.
First, she’ll be in the BBC 6 Music Hub on George Lamb’s program on Wednesday, May 27th at 10:00 AM BST.
The next day, Thursday May 28th at 8:00 PM BST, she’ll be visiting Radcliffe and Maconie on Radio 2.
Both stations stream online via the BBC iPlayer. In addition, Radio 2 is available on FM, DAB radio, and digital TV while 6 Music is otherwise only available on DAB radio and digital TV. And if you miss either appearance, they’ll be available for on-demand streaming for a week after the air-date.
Thanks to Danny for the tip!
Fiona noticed that Tori is going to be one of the guests on Something For The Weekend, a cooking show with a decidedly talk show bent on BBC Two (the television channel, not the radio station, in case you’re wondering.) The programme airs at 10:00 AM BST on Sunday, May 24th and should be available for streaming for a week after the airdate on the BBC iPlayer.
Several people report having seen a commercial on American television advertising today’s release of Abnormally Attracted to Sin. The spot included a bit of the “Welcome to England” video and mentioned the bonus DVD in the deluxe edition. We’ve heard that it was aired during The View and also on Lifetime TV, so it would be surprising to see it pop up in similar shows over the next few days as well. Thanks Scott!
Remember back when Undented and Yessaid were asked by Spinner to collect questions for a fan interview of Tori? Well, Spinner has just posted a video of Tori answering said questions. We haven’t had a chance to watch it yet (hey, we’re at work!) but we’re looking forward to it…enjoy!
Want to hear what Tori has to say about “Strong Black Vine?” If so, head on over to Last.fm where you can find the latest installment of Tori talking about the songs from the new record:
Well, it seems that Tori was not on Morning Becomes Eclectic today after all. We had the presence of mind to check their listings, see that she wasn’t scheduled to be on the program today and remove the calendar listing but completely forgot to mention it as a news article. Mea culpa if anyone remembered and tuned in though, truth be told, we hope you enjoyed Lonely, Dear who are quite enjoyable too! Unfortunately, Tori’s not listed on the site as one of the upcoming guests, at least through the end of this week, either. For lack of a better explanation, we’ll chalk this one up to our old friend, Miss Communication.
As far as the two television appearances Matt Chamberlain mentioned on his website a few weeks back, it looks like the only one that’s going to happen is The Tonight Show on May 22nd. According to their schedule, she’s a confirmed guest on that date. On the other hand, there is no trace of her on The Late Late Show’s schedule so it seems that appearance isn’t going to happen.
Thanks to Oren and meg for poking the memory cells about this.
Belgian website De Redactie has posted a nifty little video interview. The article text is in Dutch but the video is captioned so you can hear Tori’s answers without peeling back an over-dub.
Thanks to shug for the link!
FM4 now has streaming video of the Radiosession taped last week and broadcast earlier today available for on-demand viewing. So if you happened to miss the broadcast, no need to fret. The quality — both sound and video — is quite excellent and, dare we say it, sounds better than their live stream.
The video will be available until May 24th so check it out while you can!
Don’t forget: the session recorded last week at the Radiokulturhaus in Vienna will be broadcast today on the FM4 program Homebase. Homebase runs from 7:00 to 10:00 PM CEST and it looks like the session will air during the final hour of the program, starting at 9:00 PM CEST — that’s 8:00 PM in the UK, 3:00 PM Eastern, and Noon Pacific. However, it certainly wouldn’t hurt to tune in early just in case.
If you’re not within FM4’s broadcast range or don’t get it on digital/satellite radio, a live stream is available along with mp3 and Windows Media streams for external players.
