    Tori on Radio New Zealand

    Saturday, May 30, 2009 | 05:39 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

If you’re reading this when I post it, you probably, like me, just missed Tori talking to Emma Smith on the Radio New Zealand program Music 101. Doh!

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like RNZ archives this show but we’d be happy to be proven wrong. If anyone has any details about this appearance, please let us know.

Thanks to amywaz for catching this on RNZ’s Twitterstream.

Radcliffe and Maconie Radio 2 Session

    Saturday, May 30, 2009 | 05:19 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

Tori was Stuart Maconie’s guest on the Radcliffe and Maconie show on BBC Radio 2 this past Thursday evening (fellow presenter Mark Radcliffe was AWOL). During the program, she performed three songs — “Maybe California,” “Fire To Your Plain” and “Lady in Blue” — and chatted quite a bit with Maconie about the new record and what it’s all about.

The show is available on the BBC iPlayer until next Thursday night. Tori’s on for three separate segments that start around the 30, 70 and 97 minute marks if you want to zero in on them directly.

    Tori In The Hub

    Wednesday, May 27, 2009 | 23:38 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

Tori was George Lamb’s guest in the BBC 6 Music Hub today. She performed two songs alone at the piano — “Maybe California” and “Fire To Your Plain” — and chatted with George about the new record, sinning and other various sundries. The program is available for your streaming pleasure from the BBC for the next week (provided you have RealAudio). Tori’s segment starts around 1 hour and 43 minutes into the program.

    Q Radio Session Redux

    Wednesday, May 27, 2009 | 04:11 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

Q Radio deejay Danielle Perry, who hosts the station’s afternoon drivetime slot, posted the following on Twitter yesterday in response to a question about whether or not Tori would be making a studio appearance on the station:

Hello! Tori will be in QHQ on Friday, so a special all next week on drivetime…will try and get some albums signed for prizes

So it looks like the session will either be broadcast live on Friday or recorded for broadcast next week. We’re operating under the former assumption until we hear otherwise. More details to come as they surface…

Thanks to amywaz for catching this!

    MTV Germany Chats With Tori

    Tuesday, May 26, 2009 | 03:59 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

MTV Germany talked to Tori while she was in Berlin recently and have posted the interview. Unfortunately, due to copyright reasons, the video is available only to those within Germany, but we suppose it’s only fair after all those US and UK only streams and offers. Still, if an enterprising soul wants to free the interview from its bonds, we’d be happy to share the wealth!

    Something for the Weekend

    Tuesday, May 26, 2009 | 03:16 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web,Video

The episode of the BBC Two programme Something for the Weekend during which Tori was a guest is available for your streaming pleasure in the BBC iPlayer for the rest of this week. Tori was on for three segments of the 90-minute show and answered questions from the hosts and fans and discussed — of course — food! And cocktails!

    Chatting With Perez & Tori

    Friday, May 22, 2009 | 16:12 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

Looks like all the SXSW videos are finally coming home to roost. First there was Spinner’s fan interview (with questions collected by yours truly) and now Perez Hilton has posted a video clip of his long-awaited conversation with Tori from SXSW. Which one is more fabulous? Maybe we should hold a poll…

Thanks to Patrick, Nina and Armen for the link!

    Tori on Channel 4's 4PLAY

    Friday, May 22, 2009 | 01:53 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

Gareth has better search-fu than us as he spotted this needle in the UK television Channel 4 listings haystack: Tori will be the subject 4PLAY on Saturday, May 30th at 12:55 AM — late Friday night in most folks’ parlance. The programme is a scant 15 minutes long but the description in the Channel 4 listings — “Profile of singer-songwriter Tori Amos and her long-awaited new album Abnormally Attracted to Sin” — indicates that it should be fresh material.

    The Latest on Late Night...

    Friday, May 22, 2009 | 00:23 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

We previously reported, courtesy of the itinerary on Matt Chamberlain’s website, that Tori would be making two appearances on late night television here in the States this week. However, as it turns out, according to Everything Tori, she’ll be making one at the end of this week and another at the start of the first week in June.

The appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno will be, as advertised, on Friday, May 22nd but the appearance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson won’t be broadcast until Monday, June 1st.

Set your DVRs or just wait for the inevitable video clips on YouTube — at least until the copyright cops find ‘em. Clips of both appearances should end up on each program’s website as well.
