Spiegel Video Interview

Earlier this week while in Berlin, Tori talked with Spiegel about the new record and they have posted a five minute video interview in the Spiegel TV section of their website. It’s overdubbed in German, but it’s not too hard to hear what she says. Near the end, the narrator confirms Tori will be back in Germany in September when the tour rolls through Europe.

Radioeins' Rock'n'Roll Show Welcomes Tori

According to Radioszene, a German radio industry magazine, Tori will be making an appearance on the Radioeins program Rock’n‘Roll Radio on Sunday, May 17th. The program airs from 19:00 CEST to 21:00 CEST. Listen online with RealPlayer or Windows Media.

3VOOR12 Live Wrap-up

Tori performed live on the 3FM radio program 3VOOR12 Live this evening. A total of three songs were broadcast — Putting The Damage On, Curtain Call and, of all things, Wednesday (prefaced by a cute improvisation about forgetting words). However, we hear she actually played a couple more that were not aired: Lady in Blue and Never Seen Blue. We’re not entirely sure why they weren’t broadcast.

And at the end of the performance, the deejay announced that Tori would be playing the Heineken Music Hall on September 17th.

The entire program, including Tori’s set, is already available for on-demand listening, so if you missed it (and haven’t already found one of the many stream captures that are floating around), head onl over there and lend an ear.

Additionally, it looks like video of 3VOOR12 Live sessions are archived as well so bookmark that link for some potential eye candy in the near future.

Your Daily Programming Reminder: 3VOOR12 Live

Tori will be appearing live on 3VOOR12 Radio Live today, Thursday, May 7th. The program airs on Dutch radio 3FM from 10:00 PM CEST (9pm in England, 4pm Eastern, 1pm Pacific) until 1:00 AM.

We’re not sure when Tori will be on exactly but we’d put money on it being earlier in the program than later.

If you can’t pick up 3FM on your terrestrial or digital radio, you can listen online. They also have a mp3 stream if you, like us, find that preferable.

Tori Visits FM4

Unbeknownst to us, Tori was interviewed on the Austrian radio FM4 prior to recording the studio session that is slated for broadcast on the 14th (we knew about that part).

The brief conversation with Eva Umbauer addressed the new album (shock!), the Savoy Theatre cancellation, Tori’s career and the San Diego front-row ejection incident. Hopefully, for those of you who missed it, the clip will show up in the FM4 Interviewpodcast sooner than later.

Also, according to their schedule, a review of the session is on the docket for Thursday’s Connected broadcast, so it may behoove you to tune your interwebs to FM4’s live stream Thursday at 3:00 PM CEST to see if they preview any of the session.

Incidentally, it looks like Tori may have twittered the setlist for the session. We won’t spoil the surprise for everyone but we will say that Shaq’s reply to Oprah may apply here as well….

Update: Yep, that was the setlist, as confirmed by Pacey who was lucky enough to be in the audience. We’ve added this performance to the Tour section so if you were there, please feel free to leave comment on that page.

A Pair of Upcoming US TV Appearances

With the album coming out on the 19th and an appearance at KCRW on the 18th, the savvy Toriphile would expect a visit to one or both of the West Coast late night talk shows. And sure enough that looks to be the case. However, the information comes from a somewhat unexpected corner: Matt Chamberlain’s website. If you click on his itinerary, you’ll see that he’s listing an appearance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on May 20th and another on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on May 22nd.

Neither the shows’ official schedules nor the lovely Sue Trowbridge’s Late Night TV lineups go out that far but one would assume that Matt knows now where he’ll be then. Right? Right!
