    Short Tori Interview On LP33.tv

    Thursday, March 19, 2009 | 21:17 UTC | Posted by Violet | TV/Radio/Web

LP33.tv has a very short video interview with Tori up. Check it out:

And Tori mentions a tour from July through around Christmas, so how happy is everyone about that?

    Ah, so it doesn’t go “And-a I would walk 500 miles, and-a I would walk 500 more…”

    Thanks to Mike Holliday.

    KGSR Previews Sinful Tunes!

    Tuesday, March 17, 2009 | 23:10 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

Austin radio station KGSR, on which Tori will be making an in-studio appearance later this week, has aired a few songs from Abnormally Attracted to Sin. So far, “Fire to Your Plain” was broadcast yesterday and “Welcome to England” popped up in their playlist earlier today. Hopefully a few more tracks will see the light of day as well!

If you’re in the Austin area, tune your radio to 107.1 FM. The rest of y’all can stream KGSR in glorious Windows Audio.

    Wheeeeeee!

    Lunch With Tori on KGSR

    Thursday, March 05, 2009 | 04:34 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

Austin radio station KGSR will be celebrating SXSW with a series of live broadcasts and in-studio guests during the conference later this month. While they will not broadcast Tori’s concert at La Zona Rosa (though we have our collective fingers crossed for NPR’s SXSW coverage considering the precedent they set webcasting R.E.M.‘s SXSW appearance last year), Tori will be visiting their studios on Friday, March 20th at Noon local time to perform during “Whattya Want for Lunch” in their Music Lounge. Like any respectable radio station, KGSR streams their signal online so everyone should be able to listen in and the station archives many broadcasts as well so perhaps Tori’s appearance will be archived as well.

Thanks to Melissa for catching this and also for noting that SXSW’s schedule now lists the showtime for the La Zona Rosa showcase as 10pm local time.

Oh Yeah, There's a New Mailing List...

    Saturday, February 21, 2009 | 01:18 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

Back in January, a link to subscribe to a new official e-mail newsletter appeared on the Tori Amos Myspace, Facebook and, eventually, the Universal Republic site.

The first missive from it just appeared in inboxes across the Intertube. If you didn’t receive it, you’re not missing much — it’s just the press release announcing the new album’s title and the SXSW showcase — but it serves as a good opportunity to point out the new mailing list’s existence in case anyone missed it. They promise “exclusive info, news, contests, free stuff and more” and, really, who wouldn’t want that?

    You can subscribe here.

The Scoop on AOL's All-Tori Radio Station

    Tuesday, February 03, 2009 | 02:14 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

We have received clarification from deep within the AOL hive about the situation with their All-Tori radio station and wanted to pass it on to all of you.

We’re told that the station is temporarily unavailable while their legal department seeks permission from all the labels Tori has worked with to allow AOL to continue streaming all her songs on the station. As the music once available there spans the breadth and width of Tori’s career, it’s certainly not a trivial task but they are working to make the interruption of the stream as short as possible and are sincerely sorry for this turn of events. Soon as they have the go-ahead, they’ll be restoring the station.

We wish AOL luck with this endeavor! Hopefully the hub-bub about Internet radio does not foreshadow an unhappy resolution….

    Universal Republic Tori Page

    Sunday, January 25, 2009 | 11:23 UTC | Posted by Violet | Toriphiles,TV/Radio/Web

Dylo noticed that Universal Republic Records now has an artist page for Tori.

There isn’t a whole lot there yet, but you can sign up for an account and add Tori as a friend.

Also, ToriAmos.com is down at the moment. The domain is now pointing to servers at Universal (or trying to, unsuccessfully). This is almost certainly a temporary glitch. Give them some time and they’ll get it sorted out.

    Upcoming Interview on The Interval

    Tuesday, September 30, 2008 | 18:57 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

As many probably have noticed, the interview Everything Tori indicated would be aired during The Interval on BBC Radio 2 last Friday, September 26th was not broadcast (if you tuned in though, you were treated to an excellent piece on Nick Drake). We checked with BBC Radio 2 and just received confirmation that Tori will be the subject of the next Interval, this coming Friday, October 3rd around 8:15 PM BST. Fingers crossed that third time is a charm! If you miss the segment, it’ll be available for streaming on demand for the following week.
