Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
Santa opened the Thanksgiving Eve show last night in West Palm Beach. Seeing as how Tori has a home nearby and will be spending the holiday with family, Tori’s parents were in attendance and Cricket tells us a lot of the songs were done especially for them. The setlist included no fewer than three debuts (“Amazing Grace,” “Gold Dust,” and “Josephine”). Pretty awesome!
The full setlist is up over in the Tour section. If you were there and want to write a review, pop over and submit it via the handy-dandy form on the West Palm Beach flashback page.
This show is available for download over on Legs & Boots.
The audience at the November 20th performance at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater were treated to two renditions “Professional Widow”. First, Pip and the boys played it during her opening segment of the evening and then, of course, the “It’s Gotta Be Big” remix was the bridge joining Pip’s set to Tori’s portion of the evening. Tori debuted “Martha’s Foolish Ginger” in addition to playing “Siren” and “Horses” and, during T & Bö, “Carbon” and “Never Seen Blue”. The full setlist is posted in the tour section — thanks to the folks at @forumz for sorting it out! If you were there and want to share your thoughts about the concert, please post them using the comment form on that page!
This concert was a late addition to the roster at Legs & Boots and is available now for purchase.
You and I both know that all good stories have to come to an end. For Ziggy Stardust to become what he was, he had to go away. We miss him, don’t we? But if he didn’t go away, we would never miss him.
This cute little interview appeared in the November 19th edition of the Palm Beach Post to help promote the show on Wednesday at The Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. While not exactly Tori’s local newspaper, the Post is certainly in the neighborhood and the author unsurprisingly touches on Tori’s ties to the region, her love of the Brits, and, of course, the Doll Posse.
Thanks again to Kimberly for the link!
Creative Loafing turned its bloggy eye, via the keyboard of Jeff Hahne, towards Tori’s concert at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte on November 13th. The brief review, in their Vibes music blog, also features a few nice photographs of Tori and Tori as Clyde.
Check it out below or read it on their website.
Also, since you’re headed to Creative Loafing anyway, make sure to sneak a peak at Perry Julien’s gallery of photographs taken at the night after in Atlanta. The Santa fan club, I suspect, should find something that will warm you up as Christmas approaches….
Thanks to Kimberly and Megan Langer for the tips!
British theatre news site WhatsOnStage.com featured an interview with playwright Samuel Adamson recently. What does this have to do with Tori, you ask? Well, he is working with her on The Light Princess musical for the National Theatre. While he does not speak about that project, except to confirm that he’s involved, it’s an interesting read for those who are interested in Tori’s collaborator, his history and his outlook on life and work.
thanks to menju56 for pointing this out!
Becki and Kristin noticed this contest to win a piano lesson from Tori:
101-9 The End’s Parker has arranged for one lucky End listener to receive a private piano lesson from Tori Amos the day of her concert. And he’s raising money for the Utah Youth Village Sub of Santa program!
To win, you must be the hightest bidder. Send an email to Parker at parker@1019theend.com with your bid ammount, as well as your complete contact information. All the money will go to the Utah Youth Village’s Sub for Santa program, getting Christmas gifts into the hands of kids who might otherwise go with out.
Serious bids only! Stay tuned to the Parker Show for bid updates, as well as Parker’s page (we’ll do our best to keep it updated). The person with the highest bid at the end of the Parker show on Wednesday, November 28th will win the private piano lesson.
We wonder if Tori will dress as Mrs. Paris for the lesson.
Victoria Macchi’s review of the November 17th show at The Mann Performing Arts Center appeared in the November 19th edition of The Naples Daily News. Seems that nobody loves the Isabel…. sniff
Last night’s show at The King Center was opened by Clyde, featuring “Upside Down”, “Little Amsterdam” and “Little Earthquakes” during her set. After the interlude, Tori returned and ripped through a set showcasing “The Beekeeper”, performed with the band, “Father Lucifer” and several improvisations. T & Bö consisted of “Marianne” and “Twinkle”. The full setlist, thanks to Angell and Brambles, has been posted in the Tour section. As always, if you were there and would like to post your review of the show, please use the comment form at the bottom of that page.
This show is available for purchase as a digital download from Legs & Boots.
