    Third Oakland Show Two-fer

    Saturday, December 01, 2007 | 17:01 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

Paloma Negra noticed a two-for-one ticket offer for the Sunday, December 9th Oakland show on Ticketmaster. Strangely, there aren’t any details about who is sponsoring the offer on either the Ticketmaster website or LiveNation (the concert’s promoter). The offer is password-protected but any Toriphile worth their salt should be able to guess what it is on their second try.

If any one happens to know more details about this offer, please let us know!

    '07 Boise and Clyde

    Saturday, December 01, 2007 | 15:01 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

Boise’s Morrison Center was treated to a opening set by Clyde including “Upside Down” and “Mary”. Tori’s portion of the evening featured two debuts, both during T & Bö: “Black Swan” and “Not The Red Baron”. T & Bö was kicked off by an improv where Tori riffed on “come to me in Phoenix” again (the first time being in Houston — Clyde’s last opening set). Tori started to play “Northern Lad” but sound problems caused her to skip it but not before a brief improv about spuds and studs.

The full setlist, thanks to Michiki, the atforumz texting crew and Nancy has been posted in the tour section.

If you were at the show and would like to share your thoughts on the evening, please use the comment form at the bottom of the Boise flashback.

This concert is available as an official bootleg via digital download from Legs & Boots.

    Pip Rocks Salt Lake City

    Friday, November 30, 2007 | 16:05 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

Pip opened the show at the E Center in Salt Lake City last night (sorry for the delay in getting the setlist posted — neither Violet nor I was around last evening). Her set again included “Heart of Gold”, so it seems that one may become a fixture for Pip shows when there is no bootleg planned (as is the case for this performance). Tori’s set featured “Pretty Good Year”, “Amber Waves”, “Father Lucifer”, and, during T & Bö, “Mother” and “Merman”. The full setlist has been posted in the Tour section — thanks to Riotpoof1120 for sending it our way.

If you were at the show and would like to share your thoughts about the concert, please do so using the comment form there.

    Denver: It's Santalicious!

    Thursday, November 29, 2007 | 12:55 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

Denver’s Wells Fargo Theatre was treated to a a sultry opening set by Santa last night, including “She’s Your Cocaine”, “Hoochie Woman” and “Sugar”. After surrendering the stage to Tori, the audience was treated with performances of “Pancake”, “Your Cloud” (well, I would think it a highlight!), “Siren”, “Hotel” and the return of the two-song, two-encore featuring “Not David Bowie”. T & Bö consisted of “Silent All These Years” and “Cooling”.

The full setlist has been posted in the Tour section. If you were there and would like to post your thoughts about the show, please use the comment form on that page.

Unfortunately, this show is not on the list at Legs & Boots.

Denver Post Article (November 22, 2007)

    Thursday, November 29, 2007 | 11:24 UTC | Posted by Frank Mitchell | Articles

This short article in The Denver Post by Ricardo Baca (Denver Post’s Pop Music Critic) is a nice descriptive piece about the moment in 1994 when he became a Toriphile. The title of the article says it all.

Tori On The KBCO Morning Show

    Tuesday, November 27, 2007 | 18:42 UTC | Posted by woj | TV/Radio/Web

Mrs Chux tipped us off to the fact that Tori called into Denver radio station KBCO from her tour bus this morning and chatted with BCO Morning Show host Bret for a bit about, among other things, the Doll Posse and having a sound engineer for a husband. KBCO thoughtfully podcasts features from their Morning Show so all of us who missed out on this can listen to the discussion. Download the mp3 directly here.

Also, while you’re there, check out another phone interview she did with Bret earlier this year (June 28th to be precise) when she called in from Switzerland to talk about the American Doll Posse album.

San Antonio: Isabel Inaugurates The New Age

    Tuesday, November 27, 2007 | 05:53 UTC | Posted by woj | Touring

Perhaps because tonight’s show was originally scheduled for Austin, Texas’ capitol, Isabel opened tonight’s show at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio. She added to her selection of songs, debuting The Velvet Underground’s “New Age” as a call to arms right after opening with “Yo George”. And the debuts kept coming as “Butterfly” flitted by during T & Bö and “Pretty Good Year” reared its lovely head with the full band treatment. “Yes, Anastasia” rounded out T & Bö, while the single encore was comprised of “Precious Things” and “Josephine” to close the show. The full setlist has been posted on the San Antonio flashback page where one can also find a comment form that we invite folks who attended the show to use to let everyone know what they thought of the concert.

Unfortunately, this show is not on the schedule of official bootlegs. Figures, doesn’t it?
