Keep on rolling, SortaLucifer and Speedbliss!

    "Wheel"'s Big Video Debut

    Monday, April 16, 2007 | 18:13 UTC | Posted by Beth | Releases,TV/Radio/Web

Eagle-eyed Liana noticed that Epic’s Web site is offering a contest where visitors click on the TV graphic to see the video for “Big Wheel” and could potentially win a copy of American Doll Posse. Clicking on the TV doesn’t really do anything at the moment — but Yahoo claims they are going to premiere the video on Wednesday, April 18, so fans should be able to see it soon, one way or another. Stay tuned.

Update: Looks like several other websites are running similar contests. Two that we’ve found so far are Buzzsugar and Blogcritics. If anyone stumbles across any others, give us a shout!

Milan PR: Tori Interview On Rockol.it

Tori swung down to Milan yesterday for more promotion. Fabz alerted us that the first interview is up at Rockol.

Next week, Tori heads to Paris! (Thanks Melanie!)

We have the article text up (translation kindly provided by Andy).

Tori Amos, “American Doll Posse”: “The Many ‘Selves’ Of One Woman.”

    Big Wheel Rolls Over Competition

    Thursday, April 12, 2007 | 18:56 UTC | Posted by Beth | Releases,TV/Radio/Web

Ivan points out that the new AAA Chart shows “Big Wheel” was the most-added song and had the biggest audience increase of any new single during the week ending April 13. Cruise on over to the chart to see just how well it did.

    Izzy Gots Hair!

    Wednesday, April 11, 2007 | 22:41 UTC | Posted by Beth | Releases

    Miss Isabel actually has hair!

“Isabel, a photographer, is a reflection of Artemis and is the most outwardly political of the bunch. She opens the album with “Yo George,” a shout-out to our commander in chief, questioning what horribly dark road we’ve been led down and closes the CD with the anti-war anthem, ‘Dark Side of the Sun.’”

Listen to “Yo George” at Everything Tori.

(Thanks to Beverly for spotting this one so quickly!)

    iTunes Offers a 'Miracle'

    Tuesday, April 10, 2007 | 19:32 UTC | Posted by Beth | Releases,Touring

Several of you pointed out this morning that both the standard and deluxe editions of American Doll Posse are available for pre-order on iTunes today, and shoppers can purchase “Big Wheel” there as of this morning.

Those who go in for the pre-order of either edition get “Big Wheel” now, and will receive the rest of the album’s tracks later, including “Miracle” — a bonus track we haven’t seen listed anywhere else — and access to a Ticketmaster pre-sale code, which is good for purchasing up to four tickets for upcoming Tori shows.

Edit: It looks like this offer is only being extended to fans on the US and Canada iTunes sites; folks at the UK site aren’t seeing listings for ADP or “Big Wheel” yet. However, folks in Italy — and perhaps other places in Europe, we haven’t heard — are able to buy “Bouncing off Clouds.”

Cheers to Kevin, Kat, Andre, Robbie, Robert, Adrian, Joshua, Kel, JD345, Fabz, Ursa, Christopher and Joe for letting us know!

    Viva Listening Party

    Monday, April 09, 2007 | 11:52 UTC | Posted by woj | Releases

Viva is giving away tickets to a listening session on April 14th at a secret location in Utrecht where winners will get to hear the new album. (Folks may recall that April 14th is also the date that Tori will be in Utrecht for a session on Spijkers Met Koppen but it does not appear that these are the same things.) To win tickets to the Viva listening session, you must write a 3-5 line poem about one of the Posse members. Send in your entry via this form.

3 to 5 lines? That would mean haiku and limericks qualify! Are any of the Posse from Nantucket?

    Posse Roll Call: Clyde

    Friday, April 06, 2007 | 23:47 UTC | Posted by woj | Releases

ToriAmos.com sent out a newsletter this afternoon which kicks off the first of several newsletters which will present the five women in the Doll Posse.

Today’s mailing introduced the Clyde persona. EverythingTori also posted a new entry with the same information. Both include links to stream a song of Clyde’s, “Bouncing Off Clouds”, in a variety of audio formats (Realaudio, Quicktime, and Windows media for dial-up and broadband). They also confirmed the location of Clyde’s blog and provides a short description of the character drawn from the album’s promo kit (which, if it wasn’t already obvious, was where the Starpulse article got its material):

Clyde, who draws from Persephone, wears her emotional wounds on her sleeve, but remains idealistic. She is looking at the effects of not being a whole person. She is trying to figure out what she believes in and she is dealing with having been disappointed in her life.

A new member of the Posse will be introduced each week — though whether or a not a new song is made available is not yet known.

    German Posse Sampler

    Friday, April 06, 2007 | 02:02 UTC | Posted by woj | Releases

BMac writes in to say that Musicload, a German digital music retailer, has added a page for American Doll Posse which includes 30 second clips of all songs from the album! You can listen to each clip by clicking on the little speaker icon in the far right column of the track listing. As of now, you can’t buy any songs from the album, of course, but that will be possible on April 27th, when the record is released in Germany.

(What is it about the Germans and early preview clips? Something in der Wasser? Oder vielleicht, das Bier!)

UPDATE: Peccable and Fabz point out that the Musicload page for “Bouncing Off Clouds” features the cover art for the single. And now, so does Undented.
