Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages since we often post quickie updates there when we're on-the-go.
During tours, we do our best to cover setlists in real-time on Twitter. If you want to tweet a show in, just DM or @ us on the day and tell us to watch your stream that night.
Tori is touring in 2017 to support the release of Native Invader. The European legs runs from early September through early October and the North American leg runs from late October to early December. We do not know if additional dates elsewhere will be added.
Be sure to check out our other sections, Tour — where setlists and other concert-related material will be updated daily while Tori is on tour — and You. Lots of interesting stuff!
If serendipity is accidental good fortune, then this past weekend would be a fairly decent example of its opposite as Tori timed the kick-off of the European leg of the Sinful Attraction tour with the Labor Day holiday here in the States, during which both Violet and I were otherwise preoccupied. Our apologies to anyone checking the site for tour information over the past two days.
That said, the sets for the Manchester and Birmingham shows have been posted, along with some reviews from some enterprising readers. If you were there and would like to share your thoughts on either performance as well, please feel free to use the comment form at the bottom of either page to do so.
Note that North American opener One eskimO will also be the supporting act in the UK while Foy Vance will have those duties for the shows on the Continent.
The North American leg of the Sinful Attraction tour came to a sweltering close tonight at Boston’s Bank of American Pavilion and, whatever anyone had reason to expect, no one expected one of the Doll Posse to emerge for the encore of tonight’s show! But sure enough, that’s exactly what happened as Santa burst out on stage, ripping through “Raspberry Swirl,” the tour debut of “She’s Your Cocaine” and “Body and Soul,” to bring down the curtain on the final night of this leg of the tour.
Other highlights of the set included “Hotel,” “Welcome to England,” “The Power of Orange Knickers” and, during the Lizard Lounge, “Silent All These Years” and “Cool On Your Island.” “Cool On Your Island” was preceded by an improv about having to leave during which Tori also sang about having to mix the Solstice record in a couple days. “Big Wheel” moved up to the second slot of the set, setting the stage for the encore. The full setlist, with thanks to @districtbelle and @AnabelaV for posting it to Twitter, is up in the Tour section.
If you were there and care to review the performance, please do using the comment form on that page. We’d love to hear what you thought of the show!
Apologies for the lack of updates on the front page for the last few concerts — while I was off attending two of the three shows, Violet was holding down the fort and, due to the crazy little thing called life, was only able to keep on top of the setlists.
In any case, the pages for the New York City, Red Bank and Philadelphia concerts — as well as a page for the WXPN Free at Noon show at World Cafe Live on Saturday afternoon — have been updated with reviews and videos. Photos will be coming in the next day or so as well. If you have anything to contribute — thoughts, videos or photos — drop us a line via the comment form at the bottom of each page.
The Count Basie Theatre is giving away a pair of tickets for Friday’s show in Red Bank, NJ. To enter, become a fan of the Count Basie Theatre on Facebook and follow the directions on the status update about the free Tori tickets (post your name & your companion’s name in the comments under that update). Winner will be announced in that same space later today.
Thanks to Karin for letting us know.
RSVP on Going NYC for a chance to win two (2) tickets to see Tori Amos at Radio City Music Hall. (Thanks to char for sending that in.)
We have confirmation there will be no Meet and Greets in New York or Philly due to scheduling constraints.
Oopsie, apologies on the lateness of this recap of last night’s Montreal show. The setlist included some lovely treats … “Little Amsterdam,” “Glory Of The 80s,” “China,” “Space Dog,” “Virginia,” and perhaps the biggest surprise of the night, “Beulah Land” kicking off the Lizard Lounge portion of the show.
You can view the complete setlist in the Tour section, and if you were at the show, head to the bottom of the page to submit a review, pics, or video.
Thanks to @casket4mytears for getting the setlist to us on Twitter.
The curtain has dropped on tonight’s show at Massey Hall in Toronto. While we were secretly hoping for a Joni Mitchell or Neil Young cover to squeak its way onto the setlist, it was not to be. However, the set wasn’t too shabby, featuring the debuts of “The Power of Orange Knickers” and, during the Lizard Lounge, “Roosterspur Bridge.” “Mother” was the other solo song performed during the Lounge. “Hotel,” “Carbon,” “Concertina,” and “Mother Revolution” also made appearances but, most importantly, bassist Jon Evans was treated to a chorus of “Happy Birthday!” The complete setlist has been posted in the Tour section.
As always, we’d love to hear what those of you who were in attendance have to say about the show. Please use the comment form to post a review if you’d like or to send in links to video clips you may have captured. Photos are welcome too! (We’d love it if Neil Gaiman were to post a review here, but we suspect we’ll have to settle for his tweetview.)
Many thanks to @casket4mytears and @vervalicious for tweeting the setlist!
Tonight’s show at the Detroit Opera House is in the books and tour debuts continue to fall from the skies much like the rain that fell on the streets of the Motor City today. “Pancake,” including the much-loved “Ohio” bridge from the song by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, and “Seaside” made their first appearances of the Sinful Attraction tour. Along with “Winter,” the latter made up the Lizard Lounge for this evening. Other songs of note included “Marys of the Sea,” “Concertina,” “Pandora’s Aquarium,” “Sugar” and, leading off the encore, “Caught A Lite Sneeze.”
We’ve posted the complete setlist in the Tour section, where we’d love to hear what you thought of the concert. If you’re so inclined, drop us a line using the comment form there.
Thanks to the tag-team-Tweeters @MissAften, @NicholasBashour, @trentvanegas and @StynchBox for reporting on the show on Twitter!
We’ve heard from several people reporting that there will not be a meet’n‘greet today in Detroit. We’re hoping to get 100% confirmation of this as soon as possible but it does seem likely. We’ll get an update out soon as we know for sure either way.
UPDATE: Just got official confirmation: there will be no meet’n‘greet today. Sorry guys!
